'An inconvenience is an unrecognised opportunity' (Confucius)
How often do things work out exactly how we had planned? The recent Covid-19 pandemic has very clearly demonstrated that no matter how much planning and preparation you do in your life, things are rarely plain sailing!
You might have got your 'perfect' plan in place, but the truth is that you really do not know what the Universe has got in store for you next! Today, everything could be going perfectly and it might look like everything is coming together. Tomorrow, all of your plans could be suddenly cancelled and everything that you were working on could be totally thrown into doubt, chaos and confusion. Whilst we all crave certainity, the reality of human existence is that life is filled with anything but this certainity!
When things don't go our way, it's so easy to get angry and annoyed. We get frustrated and become furious with the Universe - we can't understand why the world is so unfair and why the Universe will never let us be happy!
The truth of the matter is this: we need to stop struggling against the Universe and start thriving through each day instead. We need to get more flexible in our thinking and more open minded in our attitudes. We need to realise that you cannot control anything in this universe other than yourself. More specifically, the only thing that you can control as a human being is your attitude towards life.
That's why it is so important to maintain a positive growth mindset at all times. We cannot keep 'fixed' in our thinking, but must instead take a much more flexible approach. We need to see every obstacle as an opportunity, and we need to see every challenge as another chance to grow. Stop fearing failure and start approaching every setback as an enriching life lesson - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
When we look back on the things that have happened in our lives, it's amazing how many so-called 'blessings in disguise' we can find. There are so many setbacks and struggles that appeared absolutely awful at the time, but looking back now they were actually the best thing that ever happened to us! We needed that challenge in order to grow, and we needed that setback in order to become stronger as an individual.
So try to see the bigger picture and try to maintain a positive growth mindset - see every challenge as a chance to grow and see every obstacle as another opportunity to learn. You grow through everything that you go through! You never know what apparent challenge may in fact be a real 'blessing in disguise'. So keep positive, keep persevering & keep seizing every day as another opportunity to live your best life!
